1. General Cargo Ships⠀
These ships can carry over 200,000 tons of cargo in a single voyage, exceeding the weight of more than 500 Boeing 747 airplanes combined.⠀
2. Container Ships⠀
They are specially designed vessels that transport cargo in standard containers.⠀
The largest can carry 24,346 containers and measures 61 meters wide, 80 meters tall, and 400 meters long.⠀
3. Tanker Ships⠀
The largest tankers (supertankers) can carry 500,000 tons (about 3.5 million barrels) of crude oil.⠀
When fully loaded, they consume 100-150 tons of fuel per day.⠀
4. LNG Ships
LNG ships cool natural gas to -162°C, reducing its volume by about 600 times for more economical and safe transport. They can carry 125,000 to 266,000 cubic meters of LNG, enough to meet a city's monthly needs.⠀
5. Cruise Ships
These ships can range from 300 to 400 meters in length, typically 30 to 60 meters wide and 60 to 80 meters tall, accommodating 2,000 to 6,000 passengers including crew.⠀
6. Fishing Ships⠀
Modern industrial fishing vessels can range from 20 to 80 meters in length and have a fish storage capacity of 1,000 to 5,000 tons.
